Updates

I will be shooting an in-studio and an engagement party in Seattle and Kirkland this Saturday, and all three days of Bumbershoot the following weekend. I hope the weather holds out for both, it has been pissing rain here the past couple days…not that I’m complaining, I absolutely love it. After the KEXP BBQ snafu however, I’m going to try to keep my camera out of it as much as I can.

I attended a photo show a couple of my local Seattle based photographer buddies where having last weekend. It was great fun, I got to chat some people up, smoke a couple cigarettes, guest star in more than a few polaroids, and even chow down on some grapes. Check these people out, their work is amazing!

I’ll post photos soon, I promise! In the meanwhile, here are two the afore mentioned Kyle Johnson took of me at backstage at Sub Pop 20 in Redmond earlier this summer.

I bought two twin packs of polaroid film the other day…that purchase was a bit of a splurge. I’m also about to buy myself a lomo colorsplash. So excited!!

I’m going to have to dig out my old record player now, Barsuk sent me a 7″ pressing of the new Ra Ra Riot album. So stoked. That label takes good care of me.

Website!

I finally have a website! Tell everyone you know. Thanks Aaron from www.cameraphonic.com for all the tech savvy! I have a shoot tomorrow night and photo adventure with a dear friend at a store I used to work with on Friday afternoon. I’ll finally get the chance to put my newly purchased Mamiya RB67 to use. Yay!

I haven’t quite figured out how I’m going to layout the photos on this site or where the hell my wordpress/theme folder is, so in the meanwhile, you can check out photos at www.flickr.com/photos/chona_k. I’m not even going to try to hde the fact that I’m technologically inept. Anyhow, I’m releasing a trickle of photos from Sasquatch 2008 that I shot for the acclaimed www.stereogum.com. Be safe and take care friends!
